SAP Headquarters in Israel by Yashar Architects is a 15,000 square meters of office space conceptualized as transparent glass box with an exterior shading facade.
The German multinational software provider firm – SAP marked its presence in Israel with the inauguration of this headquarters. Designed and built by Tel Aviv-based designers – Yashar Architects, the headquarters is an 8 storey glass building with distinct fluid openings. The building incorporates a whole range of sustainable standards that includes daylight control, vegetation and water conservation. The interiors divided into four quarters centers around a grand atrium that reaches the full eight stories of the building. The atrium lobby connects various individual departments, co-working and shared spaces within the building.
The open atmosphere and atrium design allow natural light to filter deep into the building throughout the day via exterior amorphous openings. It features more than 136 above ground parking spaces, 449 underground parking spaces and bicycle parking.

From the Architects –
The new SAP Headquarters in Raanana’s expanding industrial zone is a cutting edge, flexible and technologically advanced workspace. It is enclosed in a transparent “cube” with a secondary shading system of louvers protecting the east, west, and south elevations. The double envelope controls natural sunlight that enters the building and creates a sense of depth and shade from outside. The north elevation features terraced balconies that face the surrounding landscape.

Elevator and stair access around the atrium
The interior divided into four quarters, includes a grand eight story tall atrium at the entrance which is shared by every interior level. For efficiency and synergy between the divisions of the company, the office levels are each designed as one continuous work space.
Ground floor plan
It is connected visually and physically by two to three secondary atrium spaces. These smaller atrium’s are expressed as large amorphous openings in the exterior shading structure, allowing natural light to filter deeper into the building throughout the day.
